About Us

About Books was established in 1957. Through many transformations including a busy open shop in Toronto for 25 years, About Books moved to Owen Sound on the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay in the fall of 2000. We focus on second hand, out-of-print and antiquarian books in many subjects with an emphasis on Gardening and Natural & Domestic Sciences. Our stock is available for exploration by appointment at the shop or visit our booth at the Owen Sound Farmers' Market any Saturday morning. We can appraise your libraries for insurance, estate or personal purposes.
