Just another warning!! Cold weather is still coming...if you put your annuals out at night, there is a good chance you will lose them...Our greenhouses are warm and the plants like it there. Still lots of time.
So excited to tell women of all ages Our SUN HATS HAVE ARRIVED!! I saw a hat on my friend Deb Chapman and thought, I have to have this hat or more similar for the Garden Centre! We found ones similar in Toronto in January and I have been waiting ever since!! Arrived today....pictures tomorrow. So cute!!
Second huge nursery shipment yesterday unloaded in the wind, sleet and just basically miserable day!!! Everything looks good though. Today our first perennials arrived and tomorrow Mike and I head down to check annuals at a wonderful, innovative grower of annuals. Discovered them a few years ago and their quality is up to ours. Hoping the ban on impatiens has been lifted but don't think so...........
Herbs are delayed another week because of weather. First shipment of perennials is arriving on Wednesday. Sheridan shrubs and trees have arrived. Beautiful concrete pieces from B.C. have arrived and Mike did a great job of displaying. One piece left for Martina and I to work on when it warms up. Spring in Ontario?????
Rhubarb, asparagus, and strawberries arrived today for planting. We now have more pansies (thanks to Ken) and some cold weather vegetables that can be planted. Expecting our herbs to start next week. First supply of nursery stock starts tomorrow. Our beautiful Canadian made concrete is now here and our handmade trellis, love seats, and chairs in birch have arrived.
