I cannot be expected to always remain serious. Even when I'm working. I love my camera holster. And every time I wear it someone tells me I look like Lara Croft, which I find hilarious. What do you think I look like?? I've talked about the Spider Holster on my other podcast, Double Exposure Show. It's pretty much my favourite piece of equipment because it totally saves my back! Can you imagine carrying these suckers around my neck at a 12 hour wedding? It's not pleasant. Love it!... more

I don’t tolerate a poor headshot well. So when I invited Jesse to my studio to update his selfie-shot (a selfie masquerading as a headshot) I was fully expecting he’d be much happier with the new photo. But I’m particularly flattered that he remembers the experience with me in such a positive light. Speaking of light... Jesse was the first to be photographed in the new studio. As I sit at Starbucks and look out the window, it is pouring rain. Huh... reminds me of the Beker family's session. It poured rain! You might think, "Oh noes! All of those beautiful photos RUINED by the WEATHER!" But don't worry. It turned out OK. We were still able to get off the deck and onto the beach. Have I told you how overcast makes for the best lighting conditions for photos?

You're not perfect. You're SPECTACULAR! Like this if you agree! ?? No one is perfect. And certainly no one feels that way when they see photos of themselves. I know I don't. When I see photos of myself I see my double chin and the roll over my jeans. It's funny, though, that when my family and friends see the same photos of me smiling and laughing they say, "You look AMAZING!" I know you've experienced the same thing.
